A distinct trait that all good marketing strategists possess is empathy. The ability to understand the customer – what makes them tick, what their pain points are, what emotions influence their purchasing decisions, etc. Often times as a small businesses owner or entrepreneur, you are simply too close to the subject to be able to step back and appreciate your marketing from the eyes of your customer.
